Winter 2011 Edition

Mobile Technology Changing The Way Customers Shop and Buy

Today’s tech savvy consumers are demanding a convenient and personalized shopping experience as well as easy access to the latest sales, coupons and loyalty programs – all at the touch of their mobile phone. And many retailers are quickly responding.

According to a survey recently released by Accenture – “79% of smart phone users would find it useful to download money-off coupons to their phones and 73% would like to receive instant money-off coupons as they pass by an item in a store.” Whereas only 48% of smartphone users would be apt to consider downloading a coupon from their home PC.

Visiting Us Online Just Became Easier and More Informative

Schimenti Construction has just completed the construction of an entirely new web site. “Our goal is to clearly showcase the work we perform and the results we deliver to our clients. We want our visitors to get a real sense of who Schimenti is when they tour the website,” says Keith Murley, Manager of Information Systems.

In designing the new concept, creative focus was aimed at producing a pleasant visual experience for our visitors, allowing them to get a well-rounded view of Schimenti Construction without all the painful research. “We wanted our pictures to do the talking,” Murley said. He further added, “The most enjoyable part in redesigning the site was choosing the many graphics. If “a picture says a thousand words,” then our site is a multivolume novel.”

Our Holiday Wish To You, A Donation to Make A Wish

You may have noticed a holiday card was not received this year from Schimenti Construction! But that’s not because we don’t wish you the best this holiday season – rather Schimenti Construction decided to make a donation to the “Make-a-Wish” foundation in lieu of mailing traditional cards.

Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish foundation has granted the wishes of more than 200,000 children in the United States. The average cost of a wish is $7,362 (as of March 1, 2009) and the foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes.
